All this diversity thing means

at the start

is not spending our lives with people

just like us

from where we are at exclusively

open the door

then the next level

is learn to love some people

who are different from you

then the next step

is go with them into their world for a season

on their terms just be loved

then the next journey

is again open the door

again

wider

again

lives matter less
have been taught to be feared
stop killing us
slowly
and stop killing us
within seconds
the poem that cannot be written
has only one
word
on repeat
